From his first and renowned solo art exhibition “Life is beautiful'' at CBS Studios to his latest ongoing art exhibition open to the public in the Mr Brainwash Art Museum located in Beverly Hills; Thierry Guetta, under his moniker, Mr Brainwash, has been pushing the boundaries and breaking all rules of contemporary and street art. The orchestrated collision of street art and pop art has been his balancing act since his public introduction to the art world in 2005. The tipping point for Mr Brainwash was his groundbreaking footage from the widely-acclaimed documentary, Exit Through the Gift Shop. This Academy-nominated film demonstrates the art evolution with Mr Brainwash, who, alongside Banksy, brings the art to the masses.From the very moment he emerged, Mr Brainwash rocked the art world with his innovative and fearless style. He uses elements from pop art's past and the raw components of his street art beginnings to create larger-than-life exhibitions and collaborations. Mr Brainwash's imaginative construction of gallery exhibitions and art shows throughout the world has continued to attract the attention of art critics and celebrities alike. Mr Brainwash has designed album artworks for Michael Jackson AKA The King of Pop, Madonna, and many others. His talents are showcased in countless creative partnerships with powerhouse brands such as Coca-Cola, Mattel, and Marvel Comics creator Stan Lee. Mr Brainwash’s artwork has been featured in numerous film and television productions and his reach continues to grow. His commissioned mural, “Atlanta is Beautiful,” in the Mercedes-Benz Stadium, home of the Atlanta Falcons, perfectly showcases his artistic influence. Navigating the various realms of film, celebrity culture, music, and sports, Mr Brainwash has cemented his legacy in the world of art. Beyond his artistic endeavors, Mr Brainwash is committed to giving back to the community and helping those in need. He has been a long supporter of amFAR, a massive organization dedicated to HIV/AIDS research. In 2015, during an amFAR charity auction, his original portrait of model Kate Moss was auctioned and raised thousands of dollars for the research. In 2018, the Starrett-Lehigh Skyrise in New York City became a multi-story installation show by him in which all proceeds were donated to raise awareness for cancer. In 2021, his sculpture displayed at Toronto General Hospital raised $1.1 million for medical research. He has collaborated with the Lifeline Foundation to benefit homelessness, youth development, and social services. He has created commemorative 9/11 murals to honor the victims, partnered with Product RED to raise AIDS awareness, and continues to donate artwork in support of the Los Angeles LGBT Center. Mr Brainwash also lends his yearly support to organizations such as the Prince's Trust for the benefit of vulnerable youth. He met with former First Lady Michelle Obama in support of her organization, "Let Girls Learn" which helps adolescent girls attend and complete school. He has worked with numerous associations and has helped raise millions of dollars for various causes. On December 18th, 2022 Thierry Guetta inaugurated The Mr Brainwash Art Museum, with the ongoing exhibition Enter Through the Museum, a nod to Exit Through the Gift Shop, and the first Contemporary Art Museum in the world created and run by a living artist. In 2023, the museum had over 200,000 visitors, and in 2024, those numbers are still growing. As a restless creator and pop culture analyst, Mr Brainwash sees the museum as an all-ages art playground, a new platform to express uplifting messages bringing hope, positivity, and beauty to the Beverly Hills community, Angelenos, and world visitors. The Petersen Automotive Museum in Los Angeles's Miracle Mile neighborhood houses an extensive collection of championship-winning race cars, notable motorcycles, vehicles from Hollywood films, and other historic vehicles across four floors and 95,000 square feet. In 2025, an unprecedented collaboration will bring Mr Brainwash's art to the Petersen in the 3,045-square-foot Armand Hammer Foundation Gallery. This partnership aims to captivate the museum's over a hundred thousand annual visitors with the wildest imagination the art world has to offer. Also in the near future, Mr Brainwash plans on bringing his renowned museum across the globe. While the location has not been confirmed, there are beautiful times awaiting on an international scale.Today, Mr Brainwash travels the world putting smiles on faces of all ages. He is known worldwide as a respected, renowned artist who continues to break barriers and achieve the impossible. Mr Brainwash will continue his journey, vows to never, never, never give up, and will keep finding ways to make life beautiful.
