Robert Stopa Biography

Born in Germany, Robert migrated to Australia and temporarily lived in the Nullarbor desert in the outback of South Australia. Appreciating the harsh beauty of the landscape, it's varied moods, colours, forms and textures Robert began to draw and paint his surroundings. He also became familiar with the local aboriginal tribes of the area, their culture, their art and its spiritual significance. Robert moved to Adelaide where he went to school, then later moved to Melbourne, followed by Sydney, where he now lives. He continues to paint professionally, always experimenting, expanding on themes, colours, textures and techniques, revisiting ideas that exist..waiting for inspiration to manifest.
